The first time we cracked out the Kay analogue drum machine. My best friend Jock had recently moved to WA for work and stored some belongings at my house, this being one of them. I've been pestering him for years to have a lend of it and I guess this was his soft way of giving in and letting nature take it's course. And it did. This is the result. One of them. The lyrics were written through a direct wire with God, not very often does a song/poem come in a flash, with little to no work on my behalf, just being receptive. You hear writers talk about this all the time, make of it what you will. Also make of God what you will. The original name was Lamb. I had scrawled PROTEIN SCUM near the lyrics in my note book for some good reason and Mike picked it up and used it as a place holder on the session and it stuck because Lamb is a shit name really, or it's been done should I say. If you have a passing interest in William Blake, this album's woven through and through with William Blake.
